We dressed up at the pharmacy today! This is one of our pharmacists- Stacy. She was an angel and I was a ballerina!! It was fun- the customers got a kick out of it!
Who better to prepare your meds than an angel and a ballerina?!

Art for Sale!
Last night I worked at Holiday in the Valley at Pleasant Valley Country Club! Basically like Holiday House except a lot smaller! I worked at the booth awomanswishlist.com (check it out! very cute stuff!) and it was a lot of fun! She let me display some of my paintings and promote myself! It was such a great opportunity for me that I've never had a chance to do!
I am working the same booth at Holiday House for 3 nights! I'm excited! Here's a picture of some of my paintings displayed! Several ladies took my name and number!

Home Inspection
The Home Inspector came to our house (weird!!) today to do the inspection. This is something that Matt and I weren't really worried about but if it went bad then we'd really be up a creek! Praise the Lord that there are no major damages! There are a few cosmetics issues but they are suppose to have all repairs under $500 fixed before we close! Sweet!!
On another note...
I don't think I ever posted this picture of Bella! It's from just a few months ago and I thought it was so funny! She's so spoiled! If she could talk I bet she would say:
"omg my life is so hard! Eat, sleep, bark, lick, growl, chase Sadie... whew!!"

We bought a house!!!!!!!!!!
Omg Matt and I bought a house this weekend!!!!! We couldn't be more excited!!!
Let me back up... a house is something that Matt and I have wanted for years. Ever since we got engaged and especially since we got married. A house has always been our goal and we knew it would be the next big step that we took together. Recently, we had been talking about really saving up for the down payment and getting serious about looking. Monday I decided to hire a realtor (thankfully we know a family that are realtors!) and start looking. We told her our situation and that our apartment lease is up in May '10 so that's when we'd need to have a house. Long story short she sent us some links and we found some we liked, we went to the bank and took care of things there, gave the apartment complex our 60 days notice, and 6 days later we bought a house!! Yes- it all happened in 6 crazy days!! We started house hunting and talking to bank on Monday and Saturday our offer on a house was accepted and signed! The house we bought was on the market for only 3 days!! God is amazing!
We haven't told anyone about it until today. We wanted to make sure that everything had gone through and was accepted! We close on November 20th!! Here's some pics:

Dating and Marriage Class
Today Matt and I went and spoke in a Dating & Marriage at our old high school. It was really weird! First of all we don't know what we're talking about and it was weird to speak in a class from the high school we graduated from!
The class went great- the students were very engaged and asked a lot (and I mean a lot!) of questions! When the bell rang we were still in mid-conversation! The funny thing is that we learned a lot from this experience as well- not just the students!
We told about our relationship and the struggles that we have encountered through dating and now marriage. The kids asked some great questions and sparked some great discussion!
It was fun to be in the high school... except I think we got Kirby and Emma in trouble haha! We waved at them in their class and the teachers weren't too fond of that but oh well!
We've got a crazy weekend ahead... LRCA football game tonight, Race for the Cure in the morning, a baby shower and then out to dinner for Aimee's birthday! Whoo!! I'm tired just thinking about it...

Weekend Adventures
I can't believe the weekend is already over! I always hate starting another week! This past weekend was fun- I got a lot done! I painted 4 paintings! 2 of them are secret and I will reveal later and the other 2 are ones that are just for decoration for us! Here's some pics:
Bella has discovered the tv! It was so funny! She stood in front of it for almost 5 minutes just watching it and cocking her head! So cute!
Saturday I worked on a lot of paintings. This is a huge canvas that I re-did. I painted over an old painting that I did about a year ago. I am SO inlove with these roses!! It's hanging over our bed :)
Saturday night we went to the state fair! So... I definitely have mixed feelings about the fair! On one side: it's just plain nasty (people and sanitation wise haha), it's in a bad area, it's crowded, it's not safe (once again: people and ride wise haha), it's expensive and the people working it are just weird!! On the other hand: it's a tradition, it's great food, it's all apart of the experience, you ALWAYS leave with a great story, it's fun if you go with fun people, and it's the fair! You have to go! Anyways, we went Saturday night and it was so cold! But no worries, I still got my ice cream :)
Here's a pic of me in front of the farris wheel. (I don't ride any rides! Too scared that they're not secure- they're taken down and put up every month!) I sent Mom and Emma a play-by-play the whole night at the fair via picture text! This one was for them! They love the fair and I felt so bad for them so I let them live vicariously through me for one night!
Here's Matt trying to break the bottles! He and his dad play this game every year! Unfortunately, he didn't break any :( (He would have kept trying but this game was $1/ball! Ridiculous!) He looks cute though...
And here's my favorite part of the fair!! The animals!!!! I LOVED walking through the cattle barns! All of their coats were so pretty! I really wanted to stop one of the farmers and talk to them about having a farm and animals, etc. but Matt didn't wanna stop haha! He didn't understand! I just wanted to make sure that they are good people and aren't cruel to the animals! That's all that matters :) I did find out that they were all local though and I like that. AR needs to learn about and support it's agriculture! Sorry... I'll get off my soapbox now...
Anyways... we walked through this last cattle barn on our way out and it was full of goats, sheep and lamb (don't ask me why it was called the cattle barn?!) When we were walking through they were so close to us and we could just reach out and pet a lot of them! I loved it because I actually got to encounter the farm animals! This was one of the sheep I petted- she was so sweet! I think she could tell I'm an animal rights activist :) I was in heaven! True love....
I think it's amazing how we can experience God through the little things like animals. Me and this little sheep had such a sweet moment... it reminds me why I feel so strongly about fighting against animal cruelty.
Don't forget! November 27th is fur free Friday!

Fun Weekend So Far!
This weekend has been fun and busy so far! Friday night we went and saw Kirby march in the band at the HS football game! He did great! Thankfully, I was honored to be in his presence for about 2 minutes to get a picture with him- then he was gone! Haha!
Today Matt and I went to the zoo! It was so much fun! We saw some funny stuff! The giraffes were fighting and so were the gorillas! That made our $22 worth it (yes- it cost us $22 total!!)! We went into the reptile house and I'm not kidding I had goosebumps the entire time we were in there! All those lizards and snakes scared me!! It was nice to enjoy this beautiful weather and do something fun and active outside together!
And tonight we went to a party for our friends who are getting married in December. It was a 'wedding party' party! I am in her house party and I'm so excited to be apart of her day! Here's a few pics of me and my friends!
