Fresh Start!

Lately, things have been crazy with going on vacation, work, softball games, etc. and I have really been slacking on my business! But no more!
Today I am working really hard to make up for lost time! I will be calling ALL of my customers, emailing women who aren't my customers and spreading the word!
I love my Mary Kay business but I need to get things kicked in gear!

Changes II

OK LONGGGG story short...
I was told about a great fulltime job (I wasn't looking and I'm happy where I am) and decided to look into it, I applied, got offered the job and turned it down because it would have been a significant pay cut for me. They said they couldn't afford to pay me more- so it didn't work out.
This has been going on for the past two weeks. It has been exciting and stressful for Matt and I to go through the whole process of what it would really look like if I changed jobs! Whatever happened we knew that God's will would be done and we hoped that He would make it clear if I was to accept the job or not and thankfully He made it very clear!
Now we are 100% that, for the time being, we are exactly where God wants us to be! I'm excited to work harder than I have at my current job and really excel because I know there's a reason why I'm there!

Changes

In the past few days some amazing opportunities have literally FALLEN into my lap! God has been amazing! Currently, Matt and I are thinking through a possible big change. We're weighing the pros and cons and evaluating how it might effect our lives.
I pray we'll do what God wants us to!

Early Mornings

Matt gets up at 5:40am every morning to go to our gym at our apartment and work out. I plan on going with him but when the alarm goes off I just simply can't get out of bed!
Well, this week I decided to put my big girl panties on and get my butt up! Yesterday and today I went to the clubhouse and worked out with Matt! It feels great! I like doing it with Matt because that gives me an accountability partner and I know he's gonna go with or without me so I better get up!
I've been trying to eat better and exercise the past few months and so far I've lost 18 lbs! I'm loving it! I'm fitting into clothes I haven't been able to wear in years! Let's pray I can stay disciplined!

Brother in Brazil

Last week my little brother, Kirby, was in Brazil for 9 days. It was his first mission's trip and first time in an airplane! He was pretty anxious about the trip! His group encountered plenty of obstacles that Satan threw their way! There was a lot of delayed flights and on one flight their plane actually got struck by lightning! Needless to say we are happy he's home safe!
He told us about the cultural and about some of his experiences in Brazil. Overall he had a great time and grew closer to everyone is his youth group.
He mentioned that no one could pronounce his name very well and called him "Karby"! On the last day he said some younger girls were screaming for him and running after him calling him beautiful and giving him their bracelets right off their arm! So funny how people act differently all around the world! They treated him like a celebrity because they thought he was cute!
He brought us home some Brazilian coffee, candy and little cup and saucer. It's beautiful!
So glad that Kirby was given this opportunity and to share God's love!

Awards Night

Last night was our awards night at the Mary Kay training center. Our directors had all sorts of awards for all the contestants we've done throughout the year. I brought Emma with me! She had never been to the any of my meetings- she said she had fun! It was great having her there!
I didn't expect to get any awards but...
I won "Rookie of the Year" for my unit, "Queen of Sharing" for my unit and 3rd place for "Queen of Sales" in my unit. It was a fun night and was great to see all the ladies win awards and be recognized for their hard work!
I hope I didn't scare Emma away... because I plan on recruiting her when she turns 18 :)

Home Sweet Home

Well, Matt and I are home! We got home about 4pm today and it's been hectic ever since we walked in the door! Unpacking, doing laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping (we didn't have ANY food!), and giving the dogs hugs and kisses!!

I haven't been able to blog since we left- sorry about that! I didn't take my laptop! Basically the entire week consisted of sunbathing all day long and then going out to eat, shop and eat ice cream at night! A truly wonderful vacation! It's always so much fun!

Counting down the hours...

So, we leave for Destin in less than 24 hours! Matt and I are pretty much running around like crazy people trying to get everything ready!
We started packing last night and we're actually almost done. We also met with our friend who will be dog sitting for us. We are very appreciative of him and have no worries!
I won't be able to post until we get back from Destin and I'll have a lot of pics to share! Don't miss us too much :)
