(FYI I'm listening to Christmas music!! It just makes me so happy... it's the most wonderful time of the year!!)
When I blog/Facebook/Twitter I usually try and keep things positive, light-hearted and the least personal. In other words, I don't want "my business" all over the internet! Matt and I are naturally very private people- we just don't like telling all of our 1,000 friends on Facebook about our personal lives! It actually shocks me the things that people WILL put on Facebook. But that's another blog post...
All that to say that I'm going to try and start blogging about more personal things- about what's actually going on with Matt and I.
Because I still prefer to keep some things private I won't elaborate but Matt and I are simply broken right now. God is teaching us a very hard lesson in waiting.
Waiting on Him.
Waiting on an answer. A sign. Anything.
All this waiting has literally ripped us up. It's made me question a lot of things about myself, Matt, our marriage, God, and our spiritual life. Finally (and recently), I came to realize that it could quite possibly be US that He is waiting on! For us to rely fully on Him in this situation. It's so simple! Why do we have to make things so confusing!
During these past few months Matt and I have grown so much closer and I am so thankful for that. We are growing together and learning from this experience.
Don't get me wrong- this waiting has not been easy and will not be easy. I like to have control of every situation and giving that up isn't exactly my cup of tea. But I know that everything will work out because He has a plan.
HE HAS A PLAN.
I am encouraged by this verse:
"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." Romans 5:1-5
I will try and keep yall updated but for now that's where we are. Not sure where we'll be a week from now but until then we're just hanging on and enjoying the ride!

This is my new favorite movie!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I've watched it 3 times already. I'm not kidding.

And... here we are stuck in traffic on the way home!! Seems like we're always stuck in traffic together!! But I love being with her!!
Well, softball season is back. Matt of course is playing again this year and he had his first game on Tuesday night (which he didn't get to play because it was canceled due to the storms) and he looked awfully cute in his nice uniform :)
And... Aidan started his t-ball season as well! We didn't get to go to his game but Aimee sent us this adorable picture of him in his uniform!!! He's growing up so fast...
Here's a picture of Sadie. Looks like her feet were cold! Matt and I were laughing so hard at this! (yes, it was staged).
Here's a few more pictures of my feathers. I had my hair done last Friday- Emily darkened my hair just a tiny bit because I'm trying to let my hair go "natural". Whatever that means these days... because feathers are so natural haha! She also trimmed it a bit and added a lot more feathers...!!
Onto other things: Tuesday was exactly 1 month from our Cozumel trip! We can't wait! It seriously can't get here fast enough!!

And here's a video of her a few days ago! I take her to work with me sometimes and here she is laying under my desk, growling! She never growls and for some reason she didn't like the elevator repair man! Haha!
