Matt's Christmas Hunting Trip

Matt went on a hunting trip this past weekend. He left around 5am the day after Christmas! Originally I didn't like the idea of him leaving the day after Christmas but it was something he really wanted to do- so I agreed that he should go! I made it a girl's weekend and went out on Friday night. I hated sleeping alone, though!
Come Saturday I was doing pretty good... cleaning, getting organized and running errands! But, I was really starting to miss Matt! He called me on Saturday and told me that he was coming home (he wasn't suspose to get back until Sunday night)! Some things ended up not working out and they decided to leave early! I was sad for him that he couldn't keep hunting but I was so happy to see him! That night we ordered take out and had a relaxing night in! I was so glad to have him back!

Sunday I painted at the church that I work at. I use to do it a lot a few years back and was asked to do it again. I paint during the sermon and my painting relates to the sermon in some way. It's just a fun, contemporary way to translate the sermon and worship in a different medium. Pics:

Girls Night Out!

I had a Girls Night Out last night! It was a lot of fun... but I don't think I'll be going out on a Thursday anymore! It was hard waking up this morning!! Here's some pics:

Our church performed their Christmas play last night and my brother-in-law was in it. It was great and we took some family pictures after.

Last night we went to Emma's Christmas Choir Concert! She did so great- she was nervous! It was now our turn to kiss her!!

I'm so proud of my little brother! Last night he had his Christmas Band Concert and he did so great! He played the trombone, trumpet and hand bells AND he had a solo! He's so talented! I'm such a proud big sis! Of course, after the program he didn't want anything to do with us! He wanted to talk to his friends... no shocker there! I can't believe he's going to be a senior next year!!!

Blondie

One of my best friends, Emily, recently graduated from Cosmetology School and will be renting a booth in Shags in January. I told her she's got a client for life!
Last night, she re-highlighted my hair. She also colored my roots really good... they were really dark! I'm slowly but surely going completely blond and it's quite a bit lighter after last night! I really like it! I'm getting to be a Blondie! (This is an old pic but I want yall to see who Emily is!)

Let the Christmas Parties Begin!!

Matt and I have about 8 Christmas parties to go to this year (OK- not that many... but we do have a lot!). So, the first one was last night- we went to our annual Christmas Dinner at church. One down... a million to go!

No Babies for Bella!

We got Bella spade on Friday! Finally! We wanted to do it before she went into heat! The night before I was actually really nervous about it... so I rubbed her belly for good luck! She did fine and the surgery went great! Friday night we stayed home with her so we could watch her and make sure she didn't get too wild and rip her incision open. She was pitiful! Slept all night and wouldn't eat! Saturday morning was back to her normal self and full of energy! We kinda wish she was still out of it! It was kinda nice!
Needless to say she was pampered all weekend and we only left her home alone when we had to! She's our little princess!
