BIG Announcement!!

Well, Ryan wants everyone to see his new shirt...

 

 He's going to be a big brother in August! I'm almost 12 weeks now and we're very excited! We found out the week before Christmas! Matt wants a girl and I want another boy!! We'll see :)

Matt was out of town all last week so it was crazy at our house with nothing too exciting going on!

We took Ryan to the park on Saturday and he loved it! He played on the playground, went down the slide a few times and then of course played golf with Daddy!!

He's also gotten VERY good at throwing temper tantrums! Especially fake temper tantrums!! Here he is in the act on Sunday night! What's he crying out about? He wants to play Wii (which Matt had just been playing with him for the past 30 minutes!). Oh, the life of a one year old!

Horse Races

 This past week was pretty uneventful. It was my first week back at work since Christmas and it was so exhausting! It was crazy how tired I was each night after work! I was used to being lazy and getting a nap every afternoon!!

We went to the horse races on Saturday with the fam and it was a ton of fun! I love going every year!

Christmas Break and Sickness!!

OMG this has been the craziest past 2 weeks ever!!!! Let me back up to Christmas... 
I've been off work for 2 weeks so that's why I haven't kept up with my posts! I've been lazy!

On Christmas Eve Eve we always go to my mother-in-law's for homemade broccolli cheese soup in a bread bowl, a night in our PJ's and opening presents! It's such a fun night and this year we decided to get matching PJ's for the girls! I'm so excited we did! Fun memories!

Christmas Eve we headed over to my father-in-law's for another great meal of ham, corn, rolls, green been bundles and mashed potatoes! And of course lots of choices for dessert!! We opened presents and had a great night spending time together!

We then headed home to get ready for Santa at our house!! Ryan wrote Santa a note, we opened our traditional Christmas Eve present of PJ's for everyone and headed to bed!
Santa came that night for sure!!

Santa brought the dogs a few presents too! 

Next we headed to my parent's house where I'm ashamed to say I didn't take a single picture!!! Ryan racked up there as well! We had a great morning of relaxing, opening presents and eating breakfast... and lunch!!

That afternoon we spent time with Matt's extended family! All the aunts, uncles, cousins, grandmothers, etc. were together! Matt loved running around with everyone!

The rest of the week was spent shopping and being lazy... until Saturday hit!! I got the stomach bug BAD!! It pretty much felt like death! Thankfully it was only a 24 hour bug and I was feeling tons better by Sunday. Unfortunatley the bug hit the entire family though and within the next day Matt and Ryan had been hit as well! Also my mom, dad, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law and sister-in-law all caught it!! It spreads fast!! Please wash your hands people!!

The day after I got over the stomach bug my throat started hurting. I didn't think anything about it. Well, each day it got worse and worse. I felt fine so I didn't think it was strep and I had a little drainage so I figured it was just sinus stuff. Well, by Thursday I had had enough of not sleeping at night so I got tested for strep and it came out negative!! Good and bad. I didn't want strep but I would have loved some answers! The doctor sent me home with an antibiotic anyways and I started that immediately! Thank heavens, I can say now that I've been on it for 5 days that my sore throat is gone!! Now, the drainage and sinus issues have gotten WORSE... but what can you do?! Hopefully that'll be gone soon too. Weather is 18 degrees right now so I'm sure that's not helping :)

 Overall, the break really was great! We spent a ton of time with the fam, watched a lot of movies, ate too much and were extremely lazy!! Exactly how it's suppose to be :)
