Happy Birthday Sadie & Bella!

OMG Sadie and Bella both had birthdays this week!! Sadie turned 8 on Monday and Bella is 1 today!! I can't believe it!! They are both so wonderful... our children!!! It's so crazy that Bella is 1 and she still acts like a hyper puppy!!
We love these dogs more than we like most people!! Here's the last year with our kids!!

Wreck

So... we got rear ended in our NEW Jeep on Friday!!!!!!!!!

Ugh! It's taken me a few days to write this post about it because 1) I knew it would take a while to write and 2) I was still so mad about it that I wasn't ready to go through it again! Haha!

Friday night Matt and I were headed to Riverfest and the interstate was CRAZY! We were literally a few yards from taking out exit and Matt yelled "Oh my gosh, this car is stopping!". The car in front of us had come to an abrupt stop and so had the car in front of him and so on. The exit had quickly gotten backed up and everyone was slamming on their breaks. Matt slammed on his breaks- they were squealing- and we barely missed the car in front us... the guy behind us didn't get so lucky!

We felt a huge hit from behind. I caught myself with my hands on the dashboard and screamed! In the whole 5 seconds that this happened, all I could think of "our new car!" (We just made our first payment last week!) Matt and I just looked at each other... "Did this really just happen?!" We quickly got out of the car to see the damage... this is what we saw:

No, it's not as bad as we thought and it definitely could've been worse. But it's our new car!! We were just so frustrated that it happened and now we had to go through talking to the other driver, calling the cops, dealing with insurance and getting it repaired!!

To make a long story short: The other guy was very nice, he called the cops and the cop was great, we ended up having the same car insurance, we've already filed a claim, can get it repaired this week and will be provided a rental car! (Matt thinks the whole rear bumper will need to be replaced).

We were really frustrated when it happened, but when it was all over and done with, we realized that God really was protecting us! The other driver was nice, we had the same insurance and our car wasn't damaged too badly and most importantly we weren't hurt!!

P.S. This is the other guy's car!!! This is who hit us!! His little Honda actually went under our Jeep. Poor guy :(

Memorial Day 09

Matt and I are SOOOO tired!!! But it was such a fun day!! BOTH of our families spent the day together!! It was so great!! My family came over to my father-in-law's house along with some of Matt's family and some friends. I loved having both of our families together! We grilled out and swam all day! It was so refreshing to have some nice weather to enjoy a summer day off!! Emma took a few pics of us playing volleyball!
