Warning: May Be Too Graphic for Some!

This morning Bella had left us a wonderful stinky surprise when we woke up! A HUGE pile of diarrhea! I took her out right before I was to leave for work (I didn't want her having diarrhea all over the apartment) and her she had bloody diarrhea! So, of course I start freaking out!
I immediately called the vet and they had an opening so I ran her to the
vet really quick and had to leave her so I could go to work and because they needed to do a stool test. The nurse told me that the vet would call me once he had looked at her.
So I had to go to work and worry about her all morning!! Finally the vet called me around 12:15! The first thing he said was, "Bella is very sick!" Scared me to death!!!!
We talked on the phone for almost 30 minutes and he said Bella had either ate something non-eatable (i.e., rock, squirrel, etc) or she licked/ate something with bacteria (i.e. water,
bird poop, etc). He thinks that she licked some water or bird poop and has gotten some bad bacteria from it... gastro-bacteria? (he used big words! I don't know the exact name of it!) and it is making her very sick.
He said that he tested her stool and that she has the most amount of blood in her stool as possible and had a fever of 105!! He thinks that she will be OK but he wanted her to come back first thing in the morning. He is going to put her on antibiotic through an IV and will do that
all day tomorrow too. He is letting us take her home over night but she can't have anything to eat or drink. I really wanted to bring her home though- so he said he thought that it would be OK.
I was crying on the phone- I was so worried about her! I just wanted to pick her up and hold her! This is my child we're talking about!! Obviously, Matt and I are extremely upset and worried about this. I had to go back to work was literally hardly able to work- I just keep crying!!
Around 2, Matt called Dr. Beam to see if Bella was doing any better and talk to him himself! The vet said that her fever is down to 102 (dogs temp is usually 101). So, that is very good. He said that he tried to do an X-ray to see if she had swallowed anything whole and he couldn't do it because she was squirming everywhere! He said he couldn't get her to lay down still!! Thankfully her behavior hasn't changed!
He told Matt that she has gastro-bacteria- it affects dogs basically like it would food poisoning to humans. Dr. Beam was in much higher spirits and said that he expected her to be almost 100% by this weekend. He said he felt totally comfortable with us taking her home tonight and bringing her back in the morning.
She also won't sit still to get an IV- so he's just giving her shots of antibiotics every few minutes. We are picking her up tonight!!! I'm so excited! Needless to say we won't be leaving the apartment all weekend! We'll be taking care of our poor baby!!
P.S. Sorry that we're so obsessed with our dogs... it'll only get worse with kids! Haha

Our Kids Are Quite Hairy!!

Anyone that knows Matt and I knows that Sadie (7 yr old black Lab) and Bella (8 mo old Boxer puppy) are our children. We are 100% obsessed with them: with their wellness, happiness, health, eating habits, pooping habits, playtime, toys, treats, etc. We care so much about their happiness and enjoyment of their life. We make sure they are taken out often, get treats when they're good, and don't stay home alone too long. They are absolutely spoiled rotten! They are allowed on the furniture, on the bed (sometimes!), and to jump/lick us!
I don't want to know how much money we've spent on them over the past 8 months! They both take vitamins and Sadie takes a thyroid pill everyday! They take more medicine than we do!
What's so funny to me is that they are absolutely in love with Matt! They want to be beside him at all times! When he sits down they jump in his lap (see pictures)! They love him so much! I guess it's because he's the man of the house or something?
Last night, the dogs completely bombarded Matt while we were watching TV. I thought it was funny!
Matt and I catch ourselves talking about the dogs and just laugh and say, "They're spoiled rotten!"

Here's the pics:

Lazy Winter Days

To be completely honest- Matt and I have been totally lazy the past day! Yesterday we got off work early due to ice (roads weren't bad at all but I'm not complaining!). We spent the day watching our favorite TV shows, playing with the dogs and just sitting on the couch doing nothing! It was great! We were such lazy bums! I like to take advantage of days like that because it seems like we're always busy and running around!
I checked Facebook and Myspace WAY too much, played on my iPhone, did a little laundry and watched American Idol! A day well spent! Matt made us dinner which was great! He 's a great cook!
Today we're back at work and the sun is shining... I guess that means we can't be lazy anymore!

iLove

Matt got the iPhone a few weeks ago and he absolutely loves it. I started playing with it and of course fell in love with it as well. So... I had to go get one for myself! Friday I broke down and got the iPhone for myself! I love it! We are both still trying to figure it out! It's amazing how much this phone can do!
It's taking me awhile to get it set up... so I'm gonna get back to adding songs to it!

I LOVE my job!

Part of my job is being a wedding coordinator. I love that part of it. Lately, weddings have been booming at the church! I am doing one almost every month now! I really like doing it. They pay me good money to tell them what to do on their wedding day!
I like being apart of someone's special day and making it perfect for them. So far, there haven't been any real catastrophes but there have been some definite set backs! It's fun, exciting, and stressful at times but it makes me take pride in my work.
When the wedding is all said and done and the bride and groom are successfully down the aisle I take a sigh of relief and think... I pulled it off!

I Guess I'm Annoying?!

I went deer hunting with Matt yesterday... and I think he got just a little annoyed with me! He said that I was moving too loud and talking too much! He said he's never going to take me again! But, that's OK because I was bored and cold anyways!
